This is an unusual (at least for the US) food court and it helps if you understand how it works. There are 5 or 6 different vendors, and as far as I can tell they are separate businesses. Each has numbered pictures of the dishes on offer. You place your order by number at a single cash register that serves all the businesses. Then you get numbered tickets and just wait for your food to be ready. They will prepare take-out if you request it. The things my wife and I have tried here were great, but there's so many more things to try. As far as I can tell, most of the food is Korean, but one of the vendors has Japanese.

I know pretty much nothing about Korean food besides bi bim bap, and tacos, but I'm eager to learn. Luckily, there's a Korean food mecca down the street from my tennis club. I've been eager to try it for weeks, but finally just made it there during the October snow apocalypse. I browsed the options of the different vendors, and then approached the girl at the register to place my order. I told her I didn't know much about Korean and did she have any recommendations. I mentioned I was thinking about the short rib and cabbage dish, and she said that was a good choice so I ordered it to go. I got a number and then waited near the stall that was making my food. After about 10 minutes it was ready. When I got home and opened the bag I was immediately pleased by the smell. The dish was kind of like a soup with rice on the side. I poured myself a bowl and went to work. It was super tasty. The broth and cabbage were very flavorful and had some nice spice. The short ribs were tender although a little fattier than I would have preferred. Only complaint is that there wasn't much meat. The portion was huge though and I'll be eating it for a few days. More will be part of my weekend routine, and hopefully I can convince some city dwellers to meet me out there so I can try some more dishes.

If you're craving asian food with an emphasis on korean food but hate long waits, expensive food, or feeling awkward eating a meal in a restaurant alone, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! The food is good and it's not at all awkward to eat there on your own. I like how quick they are, and the meals have a lot of food included. The price range is $7-10. Parking is easy in the lot and they recently built a door and walkway to enter the food court without having to pass though the grocery shopping areas, which I like. They probably use MSG, but its tastes good, so *shrug*.

Holy Smokes!!!, Stumbled upon this place killing time waiting for Wifee to get out of a rehearsal. Hit the H-Mart downstairs and started to feel a bit hungry. I've done a lot of Korean but have never seen anything like this. It was completely alien to me. As you walk in the door, there are many tables. On the left wall there are 4 windows w bars across them and I guess each window is about 15 feet apart with a corresponding piece of kitchen and a bell, the type that you ring w your finger tip. In the corner to the right near the front door is a cashier with photos of menu items on the wall in addition to descriptions and prices. The prices were very inexpensive which made me a bit suspicious. I ordered a spicy seafood noodle dish, the woman gave me a receipt with a number and she pointed at a window. In about 10 minutes a bell rang and my number appeared on a screen above a window. Included with my profoundly delicious bowel of noodles and assorted seafood were small dishes of kimchee (the cubed radish style), regular kimchee, rice and potato salad. The total price of my dinner was $6.99 and I also purchased an iced tea for $1.50. I studied the dishes others were munching at the surrounding tables and everything w/out exception looked delicious. We'll return with a vengeance (and friends) in the very near future.

Either people here are insane or the water is making them dizzy. The food is crap. Worst excuse for Korean food. No matter what your standard for Korean food is, this will hit the bottom of the rung. The food is close to garbage. The prices are too high. People. Please. Get out of Philly and try actual Korean food. This is a poor and dismal excuse for food. If the food quality is likened to the rungs of a ladder, we'd all be hopelessly deceased. Everyone looks sad while eating the 'food' here.

Huuuuge selection of Korean, Viet & Chinese fusion dishes. I ordered seoleongtang and it was the best remedy for the rainy day, served super hot and fresh in a couple of minutes. My friends soondoobu was a bit watery in texture and not as thick as it's typical consistency. The ddukkbokki we ordered was not large enough for the three people at our table for each one of us to thoroughly enjoy, but it tasted great complete with a hard boiled egg. Since the food court is conveniently located in a huge Korean shopping center, our meals were topped off with Korean pastries and snacks in the bakery and H-Mart downstairs.

Always went to the downstairs grocery store but never ventured to the upstairs food court. My friend got me to go one day and that was the beginning of the weekly visits to the food court. There are various food choices from sushi to classic Korean dishes. The food is delicious and the service is fast. Cant go wrong with the price either!

Mostly for the Korean food: 1. Food tastes fresh. 2. Dolsot bimbimbap is delicious. A solid 3.5. 3. The ramyun tastes like the store bought instant ramen, which is disappointing. 4. The banchan are delicious. 5. The miso soup is very tasty. 6. Free water. 7. Large cafeteria setting, so it may be a bit intimidating at first, but just go for it! 8. So many cuisine choices! Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean! 9. You will be full on less than $10. 10. Paris Baguette is right downstairs for dessert! Some seriously good dessert! 11. Finish up by shopping at HMart and getting some seriously delicious food to impress your family and friends. Simple as that.

This review is for those who are not well versed with traditional ethnic korean food. My experience with korean food is having korean friends who eat korean food. More food court is in H Mart, a pretty gnarly place. It truly feels like you're in a different country, the style of the place reminds of enclosed shopping malls in India. The food court has a variety of asian food including sushi, vietnamese, and korean. I've only had the ramen and pan fried dumplings. The ramen was really delicious, the noodles were cooked just right with some bite left. The broth was spicy and well seasoned. It had a poached egg in it as well, nice addition. I def recommend it. The pan fried dumplings were really good as well. I will say, although likely obvious, that eating in is much better than taking out as the noodles were quite overcooked by the time I came home with my food. Perhaps like many pho places do for take out they should have the cooked noodles in a separate container. As for the experience, service is fast, and the seating area is ample and really quite nice. They dont have too many explanations for what is in the meal which makes it difficult for us non-koreans, perhaps adding them would be helpful. Overall, quick and yummy food in a very different environment. Recommended.

The food is probably a 2. Plus 1 star for location (inside H Mart complex), parking, price, turnover time. You can eat here by yourself and not feel bad (unlike all other Asian restaurants). The Vietnamese is actually on the bad side, and the other Korean foods are just okay. You can buy sushi and meals inside H Mart and the Ban Chan place (right before you go into H Mart) and bring it to the food court to eat it. It's cheaper and tastier that way. This place is good for what it is (fast food Korean), but for $10, I would trek 1/2 mile south to Jong Ka Jib (soft tofu house). There is a new walk-up entrance to the second floor (so you can avoid the main entrance where the religious ladies try to give you pamphlets). Try the Upper Darby H Mart food court; more solid options.

Inexpensive, convenient, and fast. On top of that, there's plenty of variety here as far as Korean food goes. While you can help yourself to a wide variety of food here - bibimbap, cold noodles, dumplings, sunduboo, even beef teriyaki - don't consider any of these the best of its class. You get variety and pretty decent food, but there's better elsewhere. Still, I like how much there is to offer here so I come here pretty often.

We had Bibimbob and a Salmon Bento Box, and both were HUGE and pretty delicious. Cheap, too. A great find!

More Food Court is great for fast, inexpensive, and delicious Korean food. Located about H-Mart grocery store, it has a similar layout the the H-Mart food court in Upper Darby. With 3 main vendors (1. Ming's- Chinese/Korean food, 2.) I forget the name but it serves more traditional Korean dishes like Soondubu, Dukmandooguk, Bibimbap, 3.) Korean bar food as I call it. Fish cake soup, ramen, naengmyun, etc) I've been there twice now and had the yukgaejang (spicy beef and vegetable soup), dukmandooguk (rice cake and dumpling soup), and the bibimbap. All were fresh and delicious. Sides are very limited (kimchi, spicy radish, pickled cucumbers) in comparison to when you go to a Korean restaurant that give you a table full of sides (or ban chan) but I think More Food Court offers a lot of options for a good price.

For $20 we ate til our sides split. We scarfed Bi Bim Bap, chewy noodles, pan fried dumplings, pound of kimchi, daikon pickles, pickled seaweed with cucumbers, delish miso and steaming rice. I can't recommend enough for fast, friendly, tasty, savory, heaping helpings. As for the atmosphere...WHO CARES! I will eat in a public toilet if the food is amazing. Heretofore it has been our little secret, but today it was mobbed. Be sure to the H-Mart supermarket downstairs. Amazing seafood selection at amazingly low prices, great for everyday shopping too. A win-win.

This food court makes me feels nostalgic of my life in Singapore. Food court of fresh and delicious comforting taste. I had the haemool bokum jajangmyun, which is a stor fried noodle with black bean sauce and seafood. It was really good. For the price listed, they really give you generous portion. Anyhow, I'm not really well-versed in Korean food but I'm still curious of trying more items when I come back in the future :)

I feel bad for the non - Korean people who think this "foodcourt" is the most greatest thing in the world...it's not. The food is poorly made and disgusting. And it's not even made by Koreans anymore; the Spanish workers make everything! Once I ordered this fried pork pieces and I mistakenly looked inside the kitchen while they were making it and he took out the already fried pork pieces out of the refrigerator and fried it again for like 2 mins.. gross. I know they are trying to be fast but that was just disgusting. And the sauce was like weird..not even spicy nor sweet. My dad said don't ever look in the kitchen or else you can't eat that sh*t. LOL. And the workers inside the kitchen always look out while the people are waiting and gives this creepy eye..like.... you-don't-wanna-know-what-I-did-to-your-food look. Anyways, I try to stay away from here. It's not beautiful traditonal Korean food that the non - Korean people seem to think. Sorry but it's true...:/

I give this place 3.5 stars for the value. The prices are pretty great, ranging from 5.99 to maybe 10 dollars at most. They have quite a variety between Viet food (pho, broken rice dishes) to Korean (bulgogi, soondubu, jampong, jajamyun) and even sushi! 8 pieces of spicy tuna + udon = $8 I was craving something spicy, so I got the soondubu which was about 8 dollars + spicy tuna on its own = 4 dollars. The spicy tuna was mediocre, but I really needed some sushi in my belly. It was similar to the quality of Makiman sushi on 5th and South street. The fish quality was meh, taste was meh and sushi is not put together very well. But it's cheap. I was actually somewhat disappointed by the soondubu. It was not nearly as flavorful as I've had at the foodcourt in the 70th street HMart, or even compared to Koreana. But it did the job, and it took me two meals to finish it. My boyfriend go the bulgogi. I tried it -- it was also kind of mediocre, $8.00 but they give you kimchi, cucumbers, radishes, soup, rice and the meat. So for it's price, it tasted fine but nothing spectacular. And I would definitely not say it's bad! If you're ever craving asian food, can't decide and you're on a budget.. this is definitely not a bad choice!

A variety of Asian cuisines in one place? With a low price tag? Heaven! My brother works down the street from here and has talked about More Food Court for years. We went through HMart and up the stairs to this spacious area with four restaurants: Vietnamese/Pho, 2 Korean, and 1 Sushi (Korean and Japanese styles). I gushed when I saw Whedubop on the sushi menu. My brother knew the sushi chef, so he ordered that on my suggestion. The chef did have to take it back from my brother to show him how to mix it :) He had never had it before! Eric R. ordered an udon and sushi combo. I got the dolsot bimibap! It came with banchan: cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, and seaweed, plus broth with green onions. It was a TON of food and I could not finish it, but my husband helped. I loved how the rice crisped up, and the gochujang was yummy. What a hit! I would be here all the time if I worked nearby!

I ordered the ramyun ddeokbokki and it wasnt too bad! Friend ordered the jjambbong and the serving size was pretty big. We both couldn't finish our food. There was too much hah. And it's self service there, so when you finish your food, you bring your tray to the tray cart. Convenient (it's right above H Mart).Great selection of typical korean dishes. Reasonable pricing. Quick service. Very efficient. Definitely going to come here more often to try the other dishes they have to offer!

The food here is good and has a good range. Also the pricing is cheap. A good place to stop by for good Korean food. Free water, self serve and clean space. I really like the space and often stop by when going to Hmart.

Its above the HMart market and can be accessed from the outside of the building or inside of the HMart building. They have about 5 different kinds of food. Its I believe 2 Korean, 1 Japanese, 1 Chinese style and 1 Vietnamese. You go the the "ordering station" and place your order, they give you a ticket with a number on it. When you food is ready your number will flash and you pick up the food. The dishes average about $10. Its actually quite filling. Just a warning though, if you order from the chinese style food dont get the "sweet and sour" chicken or pork. Its overly sweet and they put about a gallon worth of sauce on it. Its not good eats! Other than that the other foods are good. Happy Eatings!!

I stumbled upon this Korean mall and food court on Thanksgiving evening while looking for restaurants that were open. It's an interesting surprise. There is a variety of Asian food at reasonable prices. Folks like me who can't read Korean needn't worry as one can look at the pictures in the menu and order by number. The whole setup is rather straightforward and unpretentious but service is friendly. You can order anything in the food court at one counter and the food shows up at one of the windows around the food court. Drinking water is complimentary. Although there was a variety of East Asian food available, I decided to try something Korean on this visit, so I ordered the Hae Jang Gook, which appears to be beef meat, tripe and blood in cabbage broth. I have little experience with Korean food, so I can't tell how authentic this is but it's served piping hot. This food court is definitely worth another visit if I'm in the area again.

For under $10 per dish, the ridiculous variety of korean (& some japanese & chinese) foods, the convenience, speed, and taste, how can you go wrong!!!! Now that I live outside of my mom's loving home, I either have to cook (HAHA) or find delicious korean food elsewhere. The food court above HMart is convenient and amazing with such a huge selection. I am literally here once (or twice) a week with my friends (either korean as well or my adventurous non-korean friends) who ALL love it. We hit the HMart and the Paris Baguette downstairs afterwards for some grocery shopping and dessert. The feel is kind of like a korean "fast food" joint where you pay, pick up your food, and then put your tray away yourself. Some dishes I've had: 1. dduk gook - I personally love this meal and it's huge, filling, and delicious. Flavorful and worth every cent. 2. sushi combo boxes - $10.50-ish so probably the most expensive thing at this place, but also huge - comes with your main order, sushi rolls, miso soup, seaweed salad, multiple pieces of tempura incl. shrimp, dumplings, and rice. seriously? love it! 3. tang soo yook - tastes good, but not a lot of meat - maybe less worth the price. 4. ggam poong gi - better quantity wise than above, and also delicious. kind of like a more filling/thicker popcorn chicken covered in delicious sweet and sour sauce 5. dwen jang jji gae - this hit the spot but i was craving it before i went. delicious. just the right amount of spice 6. sullung tang - this hearty mother-effer will keep you going when you're feeling a little flu-ish or when needing something soothing, comforting, and filling. amazing. 7. jjam bbong - 5/5. jja jang myun - 4/5. get both of these and split with a friend - 6/5. 8. dduk bokee - a LITTLe too spicy for my tastes and also not the largest portion. i recommend getting the ra-dduk bokee instead (but still i would give it just a 4/5). 9,10,11. soon doo boo jji gae, kimchi jjigae, bibimbap - all good - 4/5! okay i think i have had everything on this menu and the list will go on if i continue to type! i have to give this place 5 stars because of its variety and convenience. Seriously, don't forget to stop by HMart & Paris Baguette for some mochi & cake&coffee.

Mmm Korean food!! This food court is on the second floor of HMart. It's a really big food court with four different food court restaurants from choose from. My friend and I were there on a Thursday night. It was pretty empty. My friends and I got our food to go. The food was good. It was my first time eating tteokbokki and it was delicious. After seeing tteokbokki on Korean drama, I finally got a chance to eat some. I visited Korea this year and got to try a real authentic tteokbokki in Korea and comparing it to the tteokbokki I ate at this food court, they taste very similar. This is the place to go for Asian cuisines. Yumm!!

  • M P.

This is mediocre at best. I have tried a variety of things trying to find the "ah ha" dish that would be my go to. And... I'm still trying to find that dish. Everything has been pretty bland for the most part. The only dish I've said that I would get again is the "gan pungee'. The fried chicken chunks in a spicy sauce. I've had the kimchi chi gae, soon doo boo, kablbi box, jajangmyun, bibimbap..... All just meh. Seriously... how hard would it be to have good korean food over a korean grocery store?

    (2)
  • Siying C.

I pretty much go to this place every Thursday for group events. I only eat the food from the good court once in a while, but overall the food isn't marvelous. You have all kinds of food, like Korean, Vietnamese, and even some Japanese, but none of it is spectacular food. I would go if I was in the area and I didn't want to pay tip for some of the other Korean restaurants in the area. Like some other people said, it's a good place to go to eat by yourself and not feel awkward about it. It's big and spacious, but other than those two things, I wouldn't come to this place for food.

I know very little about Korean food other than I love it. (If any kindly person would like to fill in my huge gaps of knowledge, I would be more than amenable to being adopted by a Korean eating buddy.) Being both that I'm both terrifically cheap and a fan of ethnic food, this place is right up my alley. I get overwhelmed with all of the choices and am dying to try new ones (see above) but I have a rotating menu of about 5 things I get there that are always awesome. The chicken, even though it takes a bit of time, is super tasty, and everything I've had from the sushi stall is surprisingly high-quality. (Surprising because of the low prices, that is.) I love the bi bim bap, both dolsot and regular, but my heart usually belongs to soon doo boo, especially when it's cold out. Love the banchan, and they're already used to my dad barging up to the window and asking for more kimchee or take-out containers. The parking lot's a pain in the ass, true, but you can get a super tasty meal for under $10 with tons of choices. I'm a regular.

I really want to love this place but haven't figuring out the trick yet- on my first try, I told the cashier that I was vegetarian and asked her to recommend something. Bad move- I ended up with a bowl of mystery pickled veggies that I didn't care for. This time I decided to order for myself and, based on the photographs, choose the Tekiyaki Tofu for $9. It was disappointing- the tofu was silken (I prefer firm) and the sauce didn't have much flavor.

I always eat here when I'm passing time with friends. It's not all that great, but it's not terrible. You catch my drift? And it's not that expensive, either.

This is a food court at the top level of the H-Mart plaza. You can get anything Korean related here from bibimbap to bulgogi to soondooboo to mul naengmyun to bonbon chicken to sushi and I could keep going on and on. The food is actually pretty tasty and for very cheap prices. For lunch I had mul naeng myun and an order of garlic fried chicken. The mul naeng myun broth was VERY flavorful, in need of very little vinegar and horseradish. And the garlic fried chicken was very juicy and so good. They don't freeze their chicken so it comes out extra juicy and tender. If you're in the mood for low budget, but delicious korean food and you want variety, I'd definitely hit up this food court.

My favorite place to eat with the family. I only know about Korean food from the K-drama shows and my Kdrama group. We love eating here after church and there's so many dishes to choose from. Right price and the food is filling.

My husband and I bring our 2 young children to the food court almost every weekend. We LOVE the food, the fish is fabulously fresh, the tempura crispy and hot, the noodle bowls (of every type are so heavenly and authentic. We are very comfortable there with the 2 kids, my 3 year old asks to go all the time! I highly recommend it!

We've been here several times. The location is very convenient for my situation. The food is good enough. The fried-chicken is sooooo good! If you need variety, More Food Court is good, but if I had to choose Korean food, I would go to Jon Ka Jib since it's so close to H-Mart.

Sushi! Sashimi! Miso soup! Egg and rice! You order at the register in the corner next to where the soft drinks are. ***make sure you tell them eat in or take out. Then with your receipt they give you another piece of paper with a number. Which ever place you ordered your food from will ring up your number. Then you go pick it up, eat in or take out, and you're done! EZ!

This food court is one of my favorite places to eat anywhere in the whole world. First I give a general review and then I review the four specific stands below. There has been some turnover in the stands as I've eaten here over the past few years. First, I saw the Vietnamese stand close (it was good, but service was slow which I think was bad for a food court). Recently, a new noodle stand with a small selection, slightly higher prices (still reasonable), and an extremely high level of quality has opened up. The mainstays have been the four stands: JOA, the Korean stand (with no English Name), Ming, and Fuze. The price in all the stands is not just reasonable, I'd say it's a steal--one reason I eat here so frequently, often multiple times a week, is that I can get such good food cheap. And much of the food is very diverse and healthy--a variety of carbs, meat or seafood, non-meat protein, veggies, and lots of spices. I feel very satisfied after eating here. Another thing I love about this place is that you can eat with metal chopsticks. I hate disposable chopsticks with a passion, and being able to eat with metal chopsticks is a huge plus for me. Yes, they're a little harder to grip with if you're inexperienced, but they're larger and thicker, and not having to worry about splintering is a huge plus for me. When you are done eating, return your tray to the stand on the side; I've seen a few newcomers not do this and this creates more work for the staff here. Please keep the prices in this place low by cleaning up after yourself. I eat most at the Korean stand, the 2nd one, where my favorite item is Doenjang Jjigae (this place serves some of the best Doenjang Jjigae that I've ever had--it includes seafood and meat, lots of tofu, and lots of veggies). From this stand, I also really like the Yuk Gae Jang, Bibimbam, and I've also had Kimchi Jjigae and Soondooboo. If you order a non-soup dish like bibimbap, it comes with a bowl of broth, which I like, especially in winter. This stand always serves three side dishes...sometimes they give a scoop of mashed potatos which I really dislike. My favorite side, which they often serve instead of the mashed potatos, is a pickled seaweed dish. The other sides are usually cabbage kimchi, and radish kimchi. This stand is also very fast to make food, even if it's the lunch rush and they have lots going on. The first stand, JOA, is also quite good, although it wows me less than the second. They serve two of my favorite dishes, wool myun and jjampong. The Jjampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) here isn't bad, but it's probably the least exciting of any place I've ordered it. I think the Wool Myun (mild seafood noodle soup) is a little better, and it's quite cheap for the serving size, but since the new stand opened up I've been preferring their seafood kal guk soo. This stand tends to be a little slower to make the food. The third stand, Ming, serves more dumplings and snacky type things, and I tend to order here mostly if I'm here with a group. The dumplings here are FANTASTIC. And you get a HUGE amount of them for a very reasonable price. They also sell Kimbob, a Korean derivative of a Maki roll. I love this stand too, but it's less of a place to get a complete meal--many of the items here don't contain quite as many veggies as the 1st and 2nd stands. The fourth stand, Fuze, serves sushi and more Japanese-style food, like miso soup, udon, tempura, and the like. Everything I've had here has been very good and it's also a lot cheaper than at most restaurants, for this quantity and quality. I eat here less but I think that's because I prefer the bold flavors of traditional Korean food to the more Japanese-influenced items. There's a new fifth stand that has opened, which serves only Kalguksu and Naengmyeon; I will review it separately because it has a separate register and seems to operate more as a separate business. It is excellent; it has slightly higher prices, and a very small menu, but has freshly-made noodles and exquisitely spiced broths. In short? If you haven't eaten here, by all means come here. It is amazing!

Convenient place to have grab a quick and cheap lunch. Cafeteria style with several choices, but ive had better food elsewhere. Located at a market type space. Personally prefer the food that is freshly pre-made downstairs for even cheaper and theres an great korean H-Mart for very affordable fresh produce.

Great place for food before or after some grocery shopping. Came with my mom one day after our retail therapy session but before groceries. We live nearby and she does her food shopping here often, and it was her first time trying the food. She thoroughly enjoyed it and the price wasn't bad plus lots of selection. Comfy setting, not too loud and clean. The bakery downstairs is always wonderful, so I would recommend checking Paris Baguette out for desserts, drinks or cakes - so delcious.

Honestly I sometimes drive here all the way from South Jersey (over an hour) just for the food, call me crazy but I think it's worth it. When there's a food court of awesome korean cuisine how can I resist? I'm always here for Jjajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) and Sundubu-jjigae (seafood soft tofu stew). MmmMmm, delicious! When you think food court you often don't associate it with good foods, well you're wrong. Come to More Food Court and find out exactly what I'm talking about!

This place is so good! It's a bit of a hike from center city but a great place to come every once in a while when I'm in need of cheap, delicious Asian food. The food court is eclectic, and it has a bunch of different Korean options as well as a sushi station, Chinese, and they just opened a Pho place. I came the other day with a big group of friends, and there was ample seating for all of us (we just pushed a few tables together). I had the Soon Doo Boo, which was amazing and cheap! It is a spicy seafood soup that comes with a side of rice that you dip into the broth as well as a few pickled veggies on the side. I tried a bunch of my friends' dishes as well, and you really can't go wrong with any of the options here (even the sushi, which I was skeptical of because it is a Korean food court, not Japanese, but the ingredients were very fresh).
